Around the Shop
There’s Always Another Treasure
One of my favorite parts of Sugar Magnolia Homestead is that the shop is always changing. A new crystal catches the light, another Hummel child finds a place on the shelf, a piece of jewelry arrives, or something unusual turns up that I simply couldn’t leave behind.
I want this to be the place where I can share those new finds, little shop changes, and the stories behind some of the treasures that come through the door.
From the Homestead
More Than What’s Inside the Shop
Life here doesn’t stop at the shop door. There are chickens to tend, fresh eggs to gather, plants to care for, flower beds to work on, and plenty of projects that seem to multiply all by themselves.
Some days are busy. Some are quiet enough to sit on the porch for a while and wave at the cars going by. Both kinds of days belong here.
The Magnolia
Where the Name Took Root
The magnolia tree here is more than landscaping. It is part of the story of Sugar Magnolia Homestead and a living reminder of the people behind its name.
Each year it blooms, drops its seed pods, and starts the cycle again. Those little seedlings are now becoming part of the homestead story too — something living that can keep growing and eventually be shared with others.
Family & Everyday Life
Built With Helping Hands
Sugar Magnolia Homestead has never really been a one-person story. Family hands helped turn the little building into a shop, and there always seems to be someone helping with a project, gathering eggs, working outside, or lending a hand when it’s needed.
Those are the moments I want to remember here too, because they are every bit as much a part of this place as anything sitting on a shelf.
What’s Next
Come Back and See What’s New
This page will grow right along with the homestead. I’ll use it for new arrivals, seasonal happenings, garden updates, projects around the property, and whatever else seems worth sharing that day.
You never quite know what will happen next around here — and that’s part of the fun.
